Medical Reference & Educational Disclaimer
EyeCQ is categorized strictly as a Medical Reference and Education application. All materials, quizzes, cases, calculations, and simulations provided within this application are intended solely for academic self-study, reference, and board-examination preparation for medical students, ophthalmology residents, and eye-care specialists. EyeCQ is NOT a medical diagnostic device, does not provide clinical diagnosis or treatment, and should never replace direct professional medical advice or patient care.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum data required to facilitate game progression, user authentication, multiplayer challenges, and subscription entitlements:
- Account & Identity Data: Display name, email address, profile photo URL, and unique User ID (UID) authenticated securely via Google Firebase Authentication / Google Sign-In.
- Game & Educational Progress: Quiz scores, subspecialty accuracy stats, tournament rankings, unlocked skins/badges, Elo/MMR rating, and match history stored in Google Cloud Firestore.
- In-App Purchases & VIP Subscriptions: Active VIP subscription tier (Monthly, 3-Month, Yearly, Lifetime) and Google Play transaction tokens. We do not store or process payment card details.
- Ad Identifiers & Diagnostics: Non-personal device identifiers (e.g. Google Advertising ID) for ad serving via Google AdMob (for free-tier users only; all ads are suppressed for VIP members).
2. How We Use Your Data
- To manage your account, authenticate sign-in across devices, and preserve your quiz progression.
- To match players in real-time online 1v1 Duels, Empire Mode, and VIP Events.
- To generate and update global and subspecialty leaderboard rankings.
- To verify VIP entitlements and provide ad-free access.
3. Data Retention Policy
We apply strict data minimization and retention timelines:
- Active User Accounts: Personal account information, quiz history, and progression metrics are retained for as long as your account remains active.
- Inactive Accounts: Accounts with no login or activity for twenty-four (24) consecutive months may have non-essential telemetry and match logs purged automatically.
- Account Deletion: Upon receiving an account deletion request (in-app or via email), all personal information, email addresses, profile data, match history, and progression records are permanently and irreversibly deleted from our live databases within thirty (30) calendar days.
4. Data Deletion Process & Instructions
Users have the right to request deletion of their account and all personal data at any time. We provide two easy methods:
Method A: Instant In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Open the EyeCQ app on your device.
- Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
- Tap the Settings gear icon in the top right.
- Select Delete Account under Account Management.
- Confirm deletion. Your authentication account and Firestore records will be permanently deleted immediately.
Method B: Email / Web Data Deletion Request
If you uninstalled the app or cannot access your account:
- Email our support team at: support@eyecq.app (or ophtho.millionaire.app@gmail.com).
- Use the subject:
Data Deletion Request - EyeCQ.
- Provide your registered account email address or in-app username/UID.
- Our team will permanently delete all associated personal and telemetry data within 30 days and send confirmation.
